Egypt.. Prosecution investigations reveal details of the death of a boxer with a “knockout”

The Egyptian Public Prosecution revealed the results of investigations into the death of boxer Ramiz Hossam, as a result of a brain hemorrhage following he received a “knockout” in the final of the Republic Boxing Championship.

And the Egyptian Public Prosecution said, in a statement, on Monday, that the player was transferred, on February 11, to the hospital, as a result of a brain hemorrhage, according to the website “.Cairo 24“.

The prosecution pointed out that during the investigations, the testimony of the boxer’s father was heard, who accused the president of the Egyptian Boxing Federation and the organizers of the final match of the Republic Championship in this sport of negligence in their work and failure to treat his sick son.

In the same context, the Public Prosecution Office had commissioned the Forensic Medicine Authority to perform an autopsy on the body of the deceased boxing player. This was in order to explain the real cause that led to his death, which was found to be a traumatic head injury that resulted in a “brain hemorrhage”, which led to his death.

According to the newspaper’s website,the seventh dayHe lost the story of the young boxer who participated in the boxing tournament that was held recently at the “El Sekka El Hadid” club in Tanta, and following the end of the match set for the third and fourth places in the tournament, the player fell unconscious and lost consciousness.

Ramez was transferred to Tanta University Hospital due to his serious injury. Upon his arrival at the hospital, he was placed in intensive care due to the seriousness of his condition. Doctors tried to treat him, but he died inside the hospital due to his injuries.

And the head of the Boxing Federation, Abdel Aziz Ghoneim, had previously considered that Ramez’s death was fate and destiny following he fainted.

He said in statements to the Late Day program presented by the journalist, Tamer Amin, on the local Al-Nahar channel, that the player had left the match in full health, and half an hour following the end of the match, the medical staff was informed that the player felt unwell and that he had been transferred to the military hospital immediately.

He added that the medical examinations diagnosed the player with severe bleeding in the brain, indicating that immediately following the player’s diagnosis, he underwent immediate surgery to stop the bleeding, which lasted for more than 6 hours continuously, according to the “”Egyptian today“.

And he confirmed that “following the end of the surgery, Hossam was transferred to the intensive care room to complete the treatment, but God restored his trust.”

Ghoneim stressed that the Egyptian Boxing Federation spared no effort to take care of the player, as it contacted the International Federation to prepare a private plane to transport Hossam abroad if necessary, noting that the doctors confirmed the player’s refusal to travel abroad.
