Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN) – The Committee for Automatic Pricing of Petroleum Products in Egypt announced, on Wednesday, an increase in the price of diesel by one pound per liter, so that the selling price in the local market becomes 8.25 pounds per liter, and the committee also decided to fix the prices of all kinds of gasoline, as of Thursday morning.
The committee said, in a statement: “The Committee for Automatic Pricing of Petroleum Products met, on Wednesday, to review the price equation and implement the mechanism for applying automatic pricing, and in light of the increase in international prices for crude oil and petroleum products and the exchange rate of the pound against the dollar. The selling price in the local market is 8.25 pounds ($0.2666) per liter, as of two o’clock in the morning on Thursday.”
She added that she had decided to “fix the prices of all kinds of gasoline at 8.75 pounds ($0.2827) per liter of 80-gasoline, 10.25 pounds (0.3312 dollars) per liter of 92-gasoline, and 11.50 pounds (0.3716 dollars) per liter of 95-gasoline, as well as fixing the selling price of a ton of diesel for non-electricity and food industry uses.” At 6,000 Egyptian pounds ($193.85) per ton.
