Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN) – Activists on social media circulated a tweet that they attributed to the Egyptian YouTuber, Abdullah Al-Sharif, regarding the death of Youssef Al-Qaradawi, the former president of the International Union of Muslim Scholars, who is considered the spiritual leader of the Muslim Brotherhood.
And the circulated tweet stated: “I saw him in heaven and next to him are 70,000 of Al-Hoor Al-Ain”, with a tag bearing the name “Sheikh Yusuf Al-Qaradawi”, and Abdullah Al-Sharif responded with a tweet in which he said: “And sad that I called you Moez? .
It is noteworthy that Al-Qaradawi has been on the terrorist lists of Saudi Arabia, Egypt, the UAE and Bahrain since 2017.
The International Union of Muslim Scholars announced the death of Al-Qaradawi, on Monday, at the age of 96, and his body was buried in a cemetery in Qatar, amid interaction between activists on social networking sites.
