Police said on Tuesday they had recovered nearly 200,000 Cadbury Melting Eggs that had been stolen from a commercial unit.
The foodie roundup took place on Saturday, at a unit in Stafford Park in Telford, Shropshire, England.
On Twitter, West Mercia Police wrote on Wednesday: “West Mercia Police helped save Easter for Cream Egg consumers following nearly 200,000 of these chocolate treats were stolen from a unit in Stafford Park in Telford”.

They went on to describe the incident as an “eggs-travagant theft”.
The estimated value of the huge amount of chocolate, which also included other varieties, soared to around £40,000 ($65,000).
Police quickly arrested a 32-year-old man on suspicion of theft following arresting him as he was driving.
“Glad you cracked the deal,” one Twitter user joked, among others.
