Shortly following 6.40 p.m. there was a traffic accident between a car and a motorcycle in Eggersriet SG, as the St. Gallen canton police announced on Wednesday evening. A driver (33) drove his car on St. Gallerstrasse in the direction of Eggersriet. In the Schibenstrasse area, he turned left.
At the same time, a motorcyclist Töfffahrer (61) followed a column of vehicles behind the 33-year-old’s car and overtook them. There was a collision between the motorcycle and the turning car. The motorcyclist was thrown into the adjacent meadow by the force of the collision. The car also came to a standstill in the meadow.
Died in the hospital
