Jeddah: Musanid Platform said that it is not possible to change the sponsorship of domestic workers including house drivers involved in the Hurub case in Saudi Arabia. The change of sponsorship will be completed within a maximum of 23 days of application. But for this, employers and workers must agree to an online agreement, Musanid said.
Apart from the service on the Abshir platform, the domestic worker sponsorship change service was also launched on the Musanid platform from last month. But at present, Muzanid platform states that those involved in the Hurub case can change their sponsorship. The current employer has to submit an application through Musanid to transfer the worker to the new sponsor.
Then the information of the worker and the new employer should be entered in the platform. Sponsorship change is possible only after payment of prescribed fee for change of sponsorship and agreement of all three parties through online. It takes a maximum of 23 days to complete the process.
This will depend on the delay in the three parties agreeing to the agreement, Musanid said. The Muzanid platform was launched under the Ministry of Human Resource and Social Development as part of improving the employment procedures of domestic workers including house drivers.
