RB Leipzig made a strong statement at the start of the competitive game and won the German soccer Supercup for the first time. The cup winner defeated the champions Bayern Munich 3-0 (2-0) in the sold-out Allianz Arena on Saturday evening and clinched the first title of the new season. The Spaniard Dani Olmo advanced to the match winner for extremely efficient Leipzig with a hat-trick (3rd, 44th, 68th / penalty).
