The reporter learned that as of the 11th, more than 1.92 million tons of silt had been dredged in Mentougou, Fangshan, and Changping, more than 10,000 tons of domestic waste had been removed, and 1,600 public toilets had been eliminated.

At the same time, in order to further standardize the cleaning and disinfection procedures of public toilets following the disaster, the Municipal Urban Management Committee, the Municipal Health and Health Commission, and the Municipal Center for Disease Control and Prevention have clarified the principles of toilet disinfection: toilets that can be used normally do not need to disinfect feces; Mainly the pollution, and then disinfect the surface of the environment following cleaning up the pollution. According to statistics, there are 1,977 public toilets in the disaster area, and 1,600 public toilets have been eliminated as of August 11.
