It was a fairytale wedding in an even more fairytale setting: On the last weekend of September 2023, Hon. Edward Lytton Cobbold, 31, and Dr. Helena Meyer-Johann tied the knot in Knebworth in the English county of Hertfordshire. The bride and groom celebrated what was probably the most beautiful day of their lives with family and friends. Beautiful footage of this event subsequently circulated on social media.

The heir to Knebworth House and his true love as well as two flower girls were photographed in a carriage in front of the property that belongs to his father. As the son of Henry Lytton-Cobbold, 61, 3rd Baron Cobbold, Edward bears the courtesy title the Honorable, which means “Hon.” is abbreviated.

Helena Meyer-Johann chose a floor-length, cream-colored dress with a matching jacket. Her open, slightly wavy hair adorns a tiara and sometimes a veil. Edward Lytton Cobbold wears a suit consisting of dark gray trousers, black cutaway jacket, cream waistcoat, white shirt and tie.

According to British magazine Tatler, the wedding party took place at Knebworth House & Barns, a venue on the grounds of Knebworth House – a historic mansion whose grounds have hosted major pop and rock concerts since the 1970s. Bands like “Pink Floyd”, “The Rolling Stones”, “Genesis”, “Led Zeppelin” and “Oasis” have already performed there.

Edward is a talented musician and, according to Tatler, serenaded his wife with Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons’ “Can’t Take My Eyes Off You” before inviting the crowd to clap along to the chorus. Lytton Cobbold can play several instruments and has worked at the Live Nation concert company in London and at a music store in Sweden. He now runs the Knebworth House estate with his father, the 3rd Baron Cobbold.
