Educational administrators warned the Ministry of National Education, Preschool and Sports against backtracking on previous agreements regarding the group’s demands, threatening a future school year marked by protests if what was agreed upon was not adhered to.

In a statement, the Educational Administrators Syndicate accused the ministry of enacting “regressive decisions that affect the rights of educational administrators, such as the regressive draft eligibility decision, the draft reference guides for jobs and competencies,” while criticizing “the failure to cancel the recognition of tasks, and the introduction of administrative and educational inspection of graduates.”

In addition, the union denounced “the failure to issue a memorandum on the transitional movement of educational administrators who perform general guard and supervision duties, for the first time,” in addition to “the procrastination in processing the file of those exempted, the failure to deliver diplomas, and the settlement of pending administrative and financial situations.”

Accordingly, the educational administrators demanded “raising the compensation for the framework due to its weakness compared to the rest of the frameworks, and expediting the issuance of the movement memorandum in order to ensure the family, social and professional stability of this category, and announcing all vacant positions.”

On the other hand, the sectoral union demanded “opening the movement between the educational levels that the basic training allows, and revealing the fate of 84 positions from the quota for promotion by selection for the year 2022, in addition to accelerating the administrative and financial settlement for the beneficiaries of promotion by selection for the year 2022 and the remainder of the 2021 promotion.”

In addition, the educational administrators demanded that “general guards and supervisors be granted compensation for exams and competitions hosted by their institutions,” and that “the file of the victims of the exemption be finally closed by enabling them to carry out their original mission in educational administration.”
