“For two years now, the political world has been telling us that teachers are essential, but now it is proving it!” Says Roland Lahaye, from CSC-Enseignement.
This trade union action does not have a single origin, but is rather motivated by a multitude of reasons: the efforts required of teachers for two years in the face of the health crisis, a sectoral negotiation with the government and the organizing powers “which gave birth to peanuts”, the implementation of the common core, the student support file, and “Minister Désir who adds a layer with the reform of school rhythms!”, Blows the Christian trade unionist.
“For the teaching staff, it becomes really indigestible. Especially since there are other fish to fry at the moment,” adds Mr. Lahaye.
The rally on February 10 in front of the seat of government is already scheduled for 11:00 a.m.
However, this is not a formal call for a strike, but the teachers who take part in the action will be covered by their union organization. School administrators and workers are also invited to participate.
