Education issues a decision regarding the evaluation system for students from 6 primary to secondary school

Dr. Reda Hegazy, Minister of Education and Technical Education, issued a ministerial decision regarding the evaluation system for transport classes from the sixth primary grade to the second general secondary grade for the academic year 2023/2022.

The decision stipulates that the technical guidance of the academic subjects will be through directing the general subject of the school subjects in the directorate, each in his specialization, starting with the first subject guide in the educational administration, until the subject director in charge of the school, noting that the directors of the educational directorates in the governorates may make the necessary adjustments to the school system according to the conditions of the school system. Each governorate, provided that this does not affect the basic content of the study program and its philosophy.

Regarding the evaluation system, the decision clarified that there will be three tests in one semester: The first test targets the parts of the course that were taught in the first month of the beginning of each semester and are at the school level.

The second test targets the parts of the course that were taught in the second month of the beginning of each semester and are at the school level.

End-of-Semester Exam: It is at the end of the semester and aims to measure learning outcomes in the entire semester. At the end of the semester, the student obtains the sum of the scores of the two tests (the highest score in the first or second month test) and (the end-of-semester test score).

He explained that the student in the transfer years will have the distribution of his grades in each subject as follows: 80% of the end-of-semester test score + 10% of the month’s exam score + 5% of the discipline “discipline” + and 5% of the behavior.

With regard to research projects, the decision clarified that they will be of 50 degrees and not added to the total, and will be at the school level, and in the event that the required level of the group is not achieved, the research will be repeated once more and submitted during the period of the second round exams,” noting that research topics are determined from Through a list prepared by the first director of social education, the research is selected for each group from the list by the teacher, the “leader of the class” in cooperation with the subject teacher. It is preferable to discuss projects and achievements related to the Egyptian state, as well as the challenges it faces and ways to overcome these challenges and link them to the study subjects assigned to the student.

He continued: “The students of one semester are divided into groups, the group is not less than three students, and not more than five students, and all research-related work is done in the school, to ensure the actual participation of students, develop their research skills and spread the spirit of cooperation, and the teacher discusses the students and learn regarding their cooperation and distribution of tasks them and the resources they used.

He added: “Each group submits two research projects throughout the academic year, the first research is delivered two weeks before the first semester exams, and the second research two weeks before the second semester exams,” noting that a list of the top ten researches will be prepared for each grade, and the participating group will be rewarded with it and notify the administration. educational institutions, to conduct qualifiers at the level of management schools and escalate at the level of the district to determine the first three places.

The decision concluded, that an item for assessing personal and behavioral aspects will be added to notify the student, “points of distinction, points that need support,” and the assessment is carried out through the opinion of “the class leader, members of the class’s student union, and parents,” and an item is added to assess tendencies and trends through the opinion of Chapter pioneer.
