Sharjah, 29 October / WAM / The Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority organized a group of events to educate the children of Al Rafi’ah Kindergarten in Al Bataeh in the Central Region regarding the methods and behaviors of rationalizing consumption and the importance of the correct use of energy and water, as part of the authority’s strategy that aims to spread awareness among various groups and segments of society.
Engineer Khalifa Muhammad Al-Tunaiji, Director of the Central Region Administration, explained that the Authority pays great attention to educating the people of the Central Region regarding methods of rationalizing energy consumption, the optimal use of resources, and security and safety standards in the use of energy. The Authority created the Conservation Department in the Central Region Administration to undertake planning and coordination to spread awareness among segments of society.
The activities organized by the Authority in Al-Rafi’ah Kindergarten targeted 80 male and female students, where engineer Afraa Al-Ketbi presented an awareness workshop during which she presented a set of tips and instructions for the correct use of electricity and water in a way that suits this age group. Gifts and distributions were presented with the participation of rationalization personalities “Qatoura and Kahraub” to encourage children to follow and benefit from Information presented at the workshop.
