Venezuelan starter Eduardo Rodríguez had a good start on Tuesday in Major League Baseball (MLB) and earned his second award of the 2024 season.
“E-Rod” pitched five and a third innings in the Arizona Diamondbacks’ 3-1 victory over the Miami Marlins at LoanDepot Park, home of the Marlins.
Rodriguez allowed just one run in his performance, on six hits. He walked one and struck out five batters, earning his second win in three starts.
Absence at the beginning
It is worth remembering that the Carabobo native missed around four months of the season due to an injury suffered in the final stage of spring training. For this reason he had not been able to debut with the Arizona team this season.
Finally, it was on August 7th when he was able to make his debut in the desert hill and he fits like a glove in the final stretch of the season, since they are in the fight for a place in the postseason.
Cascabeles has a record of 71 wins and 56 losses. He is currently third in the National League West Division, although his record is the fifth best in the old circuit.
