“The political leadership has made the wrong decisions for many years that have led us to the circumstances in which we find ourselves today,” continued his critical speech Eduardo Eurnekian. Before an audience with the main businessmen of the country, he added: “The political class is responsible for our current reality”.
“Our politicians have shown that their objective is chronic permanence in their posts, not to find solutions to the problems to which they have led us, and to generate opportunities to grow our potential,” emphasized the head of the business holding company -who among Other companies include Corporación América Airports, owner of AA2000, and the construction company Helport. And he added: “They have done it through various governments and from the different institutional spheres of our political system.”
Along the same lines, he analyzed the current situation in the country: “Poor economic results, poverty, low quality of life, insecurity, and poor educational quality are a consequence of these errors. It is also a consequence of these mistakes that so many non-governmental organizations occupy public places on a daily basis with their protests and claims”.

Meritocracy
In his speech, Eurnekian noted: “Get rewarded for a job well done, encouragement of investment, incentives for growth, reward for virtues, fulfillment of each one’s obligations, promotion of public order”. And he pointed out the following measures:
♦ “Institutionality to guarantee the balance between the public and the private;
♦ Legality to ensure the validity of rights and compliance with contracts;
♦ Validity of a vigorous and full democracy, free of distortions, which condition the decisions and opinions of many citizens
♦ Macroeconomic order to allow stability that encourages investment and production;
♦ Reforms in the normative and regulatory system to reduce bureaucratization and encourage the virtuous and creative autonomy of people, organizations and companies;
♦ Efficiency of the public sector in the provision of its services and goods, to assist the private sector when it creates wealth;
♦ Adequate training of human resources as a major source of economic capacity;
♦ International insertion to achieve convergence with the technological advances and the development that the world has underway, such as artificial intelligence and others”.
Aligned in criticism
The president of the CAC, Natalio Mario Grinman, began his speech by highlighting the absence of politicians in the auditorium. “You will have noticed that today we did not include any politician. This is so because the objective of this meeting is not to listen to speeches by officials or candidates; We will have plenty of that in the coming weeks of the electoral campaign. They all know what to do. The problem is that they don’t dare.”
Grinman elaborated on some variables such as the slowdown in GDP per capita growth: “From 1943 to 1983 there was an average annual advance of 1.3%, while from 1983 to date growth was barely 0.6% annual average ”. In addition, he referred to inflation: “It is observed that while from 1943 to 1983 the average was 72% per year, in the 40 years of democracy it averaged 222%. This is, growth halved and inflation tripled”, he explained.
Along the same lines as Eurnekian, Girnman indicated that “jobs must be generated, but not in this context. A modern framework is needed. This is not regarding making employees precarious, but regarding inserting those who are informal within the system. Today in Argentina we have 15 million people with different plans. 52% of the houses in Argentina receive some plan. In a flat country there is no future. It is the private sector that is going to make Argentina great, as is the case all over the world”.
