Edmundo González Urrutia met with the national leadership of Democratic Action

The presidential candidate of the Democratic Unitary Platform (PUD), Edmundo González Urrutia, met this Tuesday, May 21, with the leadership of the Democratic Action (AD) “in resistance,” led by Henry Ramos Allup, former president of the National Assembly in 2015.

Also present at the meeting, which aimed to further consolidate unity within the opposition coalition, were Henry Ramos Allup, secretary general of AD; Piero Maroun, secretary of national organization; Edgar Zambrano, vice president of AD; and María Corina Machado, coordinator of Vente Venezuela.

Through the social network X, Acción Democrática reported on the meeting and indicated that they are “committed to change, unity and a free Venezuela for all Venezuelans.”

“Here we are, the AD party members, together with Edmundo González and Maria Corina Machado, organizing ourselves for victory in unity on #28JUL. The entire machinery of our party is active and organized to recover democracy in Venezuela together,” they wrote in another message.

For his part, Piero Maroun, who on April 25 invited the Venezuelan population to organize and prepare for the presidential elections, described the meeting as useful to advance unity and defend the vote. “We are going to win on #28July!” he emphasized.

It is worth mentioning that González Urrutia has met with Manuel Rosales, from Un Nuevo Tiempo (UNT); Simón Calzadilla, from Movimiento por Venezuela (MVP) and last Saturday in Aragua, he was at an event accompanied by Machado and by María Beatriz Martínez, president of Primero Justicia; and by Delsa Solórzano, founder and president of the Ciudadanos party.
