Former opposition candidate Edmundo González sent a message to the current Venezuelan ruler on the night of Thursday, August 15, through his account on social network X:

“I call on Nicolás Maduro: respect the will of the Venezuelan people. You are playing with the lives of millions of compatriots. Every day that passes without a political solution, the country’s economy deteriorates more and more and this tragedy is your responsibility.”he noted.

He indicated that “The decision to continue to ignore the will of the people expressed at the polls on July 28th, affects our democracy and is leading us to an economic and social abyss”.

At the trial of González Urrutia, “Without a political transition in Venezuela there is no possibility of attracting significant investments to the country.”

He added that “Venezuela deserves a future of stability, prosperity and peace, and to achieve this it is essential to respect the will of the people and allow the transition to a government that can restore confidence and open the doors to economic development.”.
