This Thursday, July 25, the opposition candidate Edmundo Gonzalezand the leader of Vente Venezuela, Maria Corina Machadooffered a press conference, in which they took stock of the presidential elections on Sunday, July 28.
González again urged all Venezuelans to vote next Sunday.
“We have only a few hours left to take that step. On June 28th we must all go out to vote. The advantage we have is historic in an electoral process like this (…) We trust that the Armed Forces will enforce the will of our people.“, said the candidate.
He also called on public employees to remind them that the “vote is secret.”We are not here to take away anyone’s job. We are going to vote on Sunday and on Monday we will be able to say that reconciliation, hope and peace have arrived.”.
Edmundo González Urrutia: “We have very few hours left to take the final step to achieve the change we so desire. On Sunday, July 28, we must all go out and vote.”

Maria Corina Machado lists the 7 tasks for voting
Opposition leader María Corina Machado, for her part, reported that they already have more than 90,000 approved polling station witnesses and 84,000 accredited ones.
“Every Venezuelan defends his vote and we want to insist on seven steps. We must vote as early as possible. We must stay in the centers all day. Thirdly, support the logistics, share your arepa“, he pointed.
María Corina Machado listed what she considers to be the “7 tasks” she suggested to voters for next Sunday:
- Vote as early as you can.
- Staying at the polling stations all day with the family.
- The generosity and support among everyone for the logistics of each center (food, water).
- “I’ll take you on the 28th” to mobilize voters with whatever transportation you have.
- Citizen surveillance: we all become citizen reporters. Today we will announce a bot to report incidents and a tag to upload what will happen on the 28th.
- You count your vote, piece of paper, piece of paper.
- Everyone gathers around our voting center and when we have the results, everyone celebrates.
