EDMONTON, Alta. – Connor McDavid and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins were the only scorers in the shootout, and the Edmonton Oilers barely defeated the Vegas Golden Knights 4 to 2 on Tuesday.
The Oilers collected two points in the standings despite a moment of confusion in the final stretch of the match.
Two Knights support players scored in the last seven minutes of the third period to tie the game at Rogers Place.
