The Edmond de Rothschild group recorded a drop in its assets under management and its net profit for 2022. The first reached 158 billion francs as of December 31 (-9%), while the second amounted to 55 million (-14%), according to a press release published Tuesday at the end of the day. Net inflows of funds into the private banking and asset management businesses reached 5.8 billion francs over the year, which was marked by sharply falling financial markets.
The group has also announced that its owner Ariane de Rothschild will become general manager, in order to “support the acceleration of development”. Former chief financial officer Cynthia Tobiano will assume the position of deputy chief executive of Edmond de Rothschild (Switzerland), while the rest of the executive committee remains unchanged. The outgoing CEO, who has held this position since June 2021, becomes an independent director of the group’s real estate division.
