Ln September 27, 2023, the transitional government put an end to persistent rumors regarding a possible attack on national security, by publishing a press release reporting a failed coup attempt on September 26.
In detail, officers and not the least are under arrest. This is not good news in itself. Without prejudging the content of the accusations and the facts with which they are accused, this official information forces us to ask the question regarding the governance of the Transition and its consequences on national cohesion. That there are inveterate anti-MPSR2 people who dream of seeing the Transition fail is a fact. That there are pro-MPSR2 people, ready to do anything to bring dissenting voices into line, is also a reality.
This country, although at war, is enjoying the luxury of seeing its sons tear each other apart because of selfish interests, oversized egos, all with the help of manipulation on social networks.
These turmoil in the rear of the fight once morest terrorism are likely to weaken and distract our fighting forces. As president of the Transition, it is up to IB to help transcend these divisions, on behalf of Faso, of which he is the primary guarantor of security, integrity and national cohesion.
