O TikTok announced this week a new feature which allows you to publish directly to the network from a variety of popular editing applications — including video editing software from Adobe (as already announced), among them Premiere Pro e Express.
The novelty, called Direct Post, is aimed at developers who want to integrate more with TikTok and is built on top of the app’s existing integrations, so that compatible third-party apps not only have the ability to post content directly to TikTok, but also take advantage of other options, such as the option to set subtitles, audience settings, etc. Creators can also schedule content to be published through social media management platforms.
To use the feature, creators must authenticate their TikTok account on the third-party app. Supported applications also go through an audit process before being authorized to use the APIApplication programming interfaceor application programming interface.”>1 of Direct Post content posting.
Other partners include CapCuta popular video editing tool from ByteDance (the parent company of TikTok), the streaming app Twitchwhich will be able to use its built-in clip editor to convert videos to share them on TikTok, in addition to the social media marketing tool SocialPilotwhich provides resources for professionals, teams, agencies, and businesses to automate their social media posts.
Access to Direct Post is now open to developers and will soon support photos as well, according to TikTok.
