They are being prosecuted by the Public Prosecutor’s Office for rape of a minor under 18, indecent assault, incitement to rape of a minor under 18, recording pornographic photos of a minor, failure to provide assistance and complicity in rape of minor under 18 years old. They are Edgar Kapone and his common-law partner of 30 years of romantic relationship, Carine Oswald Eyang Mboui, aged 56 and 52 respectively, all Gabonese.
Their trial opened at the Court of First Instance of Port-Gentil on Monday March 18, during the first hearing in criminal sessions in accordance with the provisions of articles 230, 231, 232, and 235 of the Code of Criminal Procedures. On February 2, 2021, they were placed under arrest warrant following a rape. Indeed, this father of 14 children is the alleged perpetrator of acts of rape on his own son Prince NK, aged 15 at the time of the events. It was on January 15, 2021 in the Badamier district in the Bendjé department that the dirty work was exposed by a national education psychologist attached to the Thuriaf Batsantsa high school.
It was obviously during an interview that the situation was discovered by the guidance counselor, after the victim recounted all the sexual suffering she experienced at her father’s house, notably “sodomy, fellatio, the introduction into his anus of a stake cut in the shape of a penis. He also specified that his father took friends and colleagues, who also abused him,” registrar Alexandre Ndoungangoye told the Court during the hearing.
From there, an investigation was opened by the Public Prosecutor’s Office before Edgar Kapone’s partner was summoned to an extremely urgent meeting by the educational supervisor.
“She claimed to have only been informed of her partner’s actions on December 30, 2020, through a recording between her partner and her son,” continued Alexandre Ndoungangoye in his reading.
Indeed, the pedophile father deliberately ordered his son Prince Ngondo Kapone to inflict on his younger brother the same abuses that he was suffering. “Occult” sexual practices that he did not fail to record on the internal hard drive of Edgar Kapone’s laptop. A piece of evidence and several sex toys seized which allowed investigators to have an overall view of this rape.
In this case the names of the alleged perpetrator’s colleagues were cited in the proceedings, and the multiple acts of sodomy also perpetrated on the victim’s little brother. If some believed that Edgar Kapone, looking at his long arms, could have been taken out of his house to be exiled, he was indeed presented to the bar. If his trial sparked the mobilization of the Port-Gentillais in view of the seriousness of the facts, it was postponed until April 15. And for good reason, the public prosecutor has indicated the need for the presence of the victim at this trial to shed careful light on this case.
