INFO LE FIGARO – After weeks of strong tensions, a compromise is being finalized.
A year following the arrival of Luc Rémont at the helm of EDF and following several weeks of sometimes very tense discussions, the public company and the government agreed on the broad outlines of the future regulation which will govern electricity prices in France. nuclear electricity from 2026, when the current system will have become obsolete. This agreement was discussed during a working meeting on Monday with Prime Minister Élisabeth Borne and the CEO of EDF.
“The objectives are shared”explains a source close to the matter, “both technical and political points of view are now very close”.
