JAKARTA – Diah Pujiati, the late eldest daughter Eddy Gombloh expressed his disappointment when he learned that his father was buried in a Christian manner. This, according to him, contradicts his father’s message.
During his life, Eddy once advised Diah to bury himself in the same grave with his ex-wife, Subandiah. He admitted that the desire was because the comedian felt he had a lot wrong with his ex-wife.
“Now how come Papa is buried in a Christian way. I mightn’t understand it,” he said, quoted from the Intensive Investigation, on Friday (26/8/2022).
After investigating, Diah Pujiati received information that her father was officially baptized and converted to Christianity, in 2019. However, she never knew regarding the news until the comedian’s death.
“Honestly, for me, any religion is good. The problem is, why was I not told that I had embraced another religion?” he said.

This is what makes Diah so disappointed with her continued mother, Martina Lubalu. According to him, the disappointment was even greater when the family of his next mother never informed the comedian’s health condition.
“From the time my late papa was sick until he died, they never got any confirmation from me. I heard papa died also from the media. As a child, to be honest this makes me very disappointed, “he said once more.
Comedian Eddy Gombloh died at the age of 80 at Sardjito Hospital, Yogyakarta, on August 4, 2022. His family said he had a heart disease that caused complications to his lungs, kidneys and liver.
Martina Lubalu revealed that Eddy Gombloh’s condition worsened following being attacked by COVID-19. He can no longer walk and spends only part of his time in bed.
According to Eddy Gombloh’s will to his wife, the deceased was buried at the Tegal Alur Public Cemetery (TPU), West Jakarta, on August 5, 2022. A Christian funeral procession accompanies the comedian’s departure.*
