Before the Heads of State summit on July 3, 2022, the ECOWAS Foreign Ministers are meeting in Accra, the capital of Ghana.The 88th ordinary session of the Council of Ministers of the Economic Community of African States West (ECOWAS) will be held in Accra, Ghana, from Thursday June 30 to Friday July 1, 2022. According to the ECOWAS Commission communiqué, the session will be chaired by Shirley Ayorkor Botchway, Minister of Foreign Affairs and ‘Regional Integration of the Republic of Ghana and President of the ECOWAS Council of Ministers. The ministers will, among other things, review the 2022 interim report of the President of the ECOWAS Commission on the state of the Community, the report on the financial situation of the Community and the final report of the 31st meeting of the Administrative Committee and finance (CAF). “The meeting is in preparation for the 61st ordinary session of the Authority of Heads of State and Government of ECOWAS, scheduled for July 3, 2022 in Accra, Ghana,” the statement said.
