Ecos Energia Solar Photovoltaica plans 170 new franchises in 2024

Ecos Energia Solar Fotovoltaica, a franchise that offers solar project installation services for homes, businesses and farms, solar plant maintenance and performance monitoring, announces its expansion plan for 2024 and projects 170 new franchises.

According to Lucas Mouco, CEO of the Ecos Energia Solar Fotovoltaica franchise, the expansion will be national. Today the chain has more than 210 franchises, 84 of which opened in 2023, and is present in almost all states in Brazil.

With an investment starting at R$22,400, the chain offers three business models

“The new franchises will increase the presence of the Ecos Energia Solar Photovoltaica franchise and the supply of this type of energy throughout the national territory”, he comments. “It is important to highlight that solar energy is a clean and sustainable alternative to fossil energy sources, as it does not emit atmospheric pollutants or greenhouse gases during the generation of electricity”, adds Mouco.

Expansion strategy

The CEO of the Ecos Energia Solar Fotovoltaica franchise says that the strategy involves three business models: the home office, with low investment and structure costs; showroom, which allows the addition of a new business within the commercial point, which might be companies in the energy segment or different sectors; and store, with a strategic commercial point.

“The investment starts at R$22,400 in the home office model, which currently represents the majority of Ecos Energia Solar Fotovoltaica franchises”, says Mouco.

Bull market

Brazil added 7.46 GW in distributed generation (DG) solar energy systems in 2023, show data from the National Electric Energy Agency (Aneel).

Most of the power added in 2023 was related to residential systems, with 3.5 GW and 489 thousand systems, benefiting 630 thousand consumers. Next come the commercial, rural and industrial classes, with 2 GW, 1.5 GW and 560 MW, respectively.

In December, the Brazilian Photovoltaic Solar Energy Association (Absolar) released a projection for an increase of 9.3 GW in installed solar energy capacity in Brazil in 2024, taking into account distributed generation and centralized generation, a segment made up of large photovoltaic plants . In this way, the source would reach 45.5 GW of accumulated power in the country by the end of the year.
