Ecopetrol President Ricardo Roa and the Minister of Mines and Energy Andrés Camacho are visiting Brazil to meet with executives of companies in that country, with whom they are evaluating business opportunities in the energy transition and hydrocarbons.
In a meeting with Petrobras CEO Magda Chambriard, they analyzed options for the joint or complementary development of green hydrogen generation projects with Ecopetrol.
Roa and Camacho also visited ISA CTEEP, where they reviewed issues of operation and electrical interconnection with Rui Chamas, president of the company. ISA CTEEP transports 30% of the energy consumed in Brazil and 95% in the State of São Paulo.
The agenda included a meeting with Fernando Augusto Rojas Pinto, Manager of Gebbras, the investment vehicle of the Bogotá Energy Group through which four concessions are managed in Brazil, to discuss electrical operation and interconnection projects.
Finally, they met with the team from Ecopetrol Óleo e Gás do Brasil, a subsidiary present in the Santos and Campos basins, in a discussion that aimed to review possibilities to materialize the company’s growth with the support of experienced offshore operators.
