Angélica Valencia and Gustavo Adolfo Ospina, two athletes who work at Ecopetrol, are part of the group of 80 Colombian athletes who will represent the country in the ‘Marathon for All’ of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, currently taking place in France.
The competition, which will see a total of 20,024 amateur athletes from around the world take part, will take place on Saturday 10 August from 9:00 pm (local time), over a 42-kilometre route between Paris and Versailles.
To earn the right to participate in this competition, Angélica and Gustavo had to complete different sporting tests in which they demonstrated their talent and endurance.
After successfully completing this stage, they were selected in a draw held by the organization among those who met each of the established challenges.
The Paris 2024 ‘Marathon for All’ is a sporting competition that seeks to contribute to inclusion and promote the practice of sport and physical activity around the world.
