Between January and June 2024, the Ecopetrol Group generated 91,931 jobs through the contracting companies that support the execution of its projects and operations in different regions of the country.
Ecopetrol SA recorded 62,952 people linked through allied firms, which is 2,450 more than the figure for the first half of 2023. Cenit reported 12,915 people, Hocol 5,822, ISA 4,494, Ocensa 2,290, Senttia 1,619, Oleoducto de Colombia (ODC) 968, Oleoducto de los Llanos and Oleoducto Bicentenario 775, Refinería de Cartagena 95, and Ecopetrol Costa Afuera (ECAS) one person.
85% of the jobs generated were local labour, that is, jobs for the inhabitants of the territories where the projects and operations are carried out.

As for Ecopetrol, by region of the country, the result of the Central Region, made up of the departments of Santander, Norte de Santander, Antioquia, Boyacá, Cundinamarca, Bolívar and Cesar, stood out, which registered the highest number of connections with a total of 22,908 jobs generated, which is equivalent to 37% of the total.

These results reflect the dynamic operations of the Ecopetrol Group, made up of Ecopetrol, Cenit, Hocol, ISA, Ocensa, Esenttia, Oleoducto de Colombia, Oleoducto Bicentenario and the Cartagena Refinery, as well as the execution of investment plans to consolidate the 2040 strategic plan.
