Economy: Government boost for SMEs

Council of Ministers of April 28, 2023: the government adopts measures

(Bobo-Dioulasso, April 28, 2023). The President of the Transition, Head of State, Captain Ibrahim TRAORE, chaired this Friday, the Council of Ministers relocated to #Bobo_Dioulasso, which examined and adopted several files submitted to its agenda, indicated the Porte- word of the government Jean-Emmanuel OUEDRAOGO.

Under the Ministry of Economy, Finance and Prospective, the Council adopted a bill establishing tax and customs incentive measures for the benefit of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). This bill provides for #VAT exemption measures for imports of a certain number of production goods for a given period for the benefit of SMEs, tax exemption measures such as the license, the employer’s tax apprenticeship, the minimum lump sum collection over two years and the registration fees for lease contracts over the first two years. This will facilitate access to all that is necessary for a company to operate, especially in the first years for both SMEs and incubators, said the Minister in charge of the economy, Aboubacar NACANABO.

Still on behalf of the ministry in charge of the economy, the council adopted a roadmap for the implementation of the transition’s emergency measures. For Minister NACANABO, the adoption of this roadmap allows close monitoring of projects for this year 2023 as part of the implementation of the Action Plan for Stabilization and Development.
