Recently, the state was able to award many honors in terms of rentals. Two Tyrolean businesses have been awarded “5 Edelweiß” by the Tirol Association of Private Landlords. In addition, six landlord coaches were honored.
TYROL. Eleven million overnight stays in all of Tyrol’s tourism come from private accommodation establishments. So it is no wonder that the Association of Private Landlords Tyrol has existed since 1962. The aim of the initiative was to establish a mutual relationship of trust and the opportunity for exchange between landlords. Today, 60 years later, the association has 2,200 members.
Celebration of the 60th anniversary
The 60th anniversary of the association was celebrated in the large hall of the Innsbruck country house. The celebrations also mark the tenth anniversary of the Tyrolean landlord academy. This supports the accommodation providers in a digitized and globalized world through training and further education opportunities.

As part of today’s event, 22 existing companies were presented with the “5 Edelweiss” award, the highest quality level of the Tirol Private Landlords Association, awarded two more. Namely Elisabeth Kurz-Lindner from Oberndorf and Anton Widmann from Scheffau.
Ten years landlord academy
The Tyrolean landlord academy has also existed for ten years. There, in cooperation with the Association of Tyrolean Tourism Associations, the Tyrolean Chamber of Commerce, the Association of Private Landlords, the Tyrol Tourist Board and the Raiffeisenlandesbank Tyrol, modern training and further education measures are also offered to private landlords. Total have already been more than 16,000 seminar and webinar participations recorded, during which private landlords were given valuable information regarding new trends, digitization or booking options, accounting and strategy.
The training units are held by so-called “Landlord Coaches” accompanied. Six of them were honored at today’s event.
