Egger: Modernization of the model teaching model “Made in Austria” is the key to securing skilled workers

Vienna (OTS) “The current labor shortage in particular shows us once more and once more how important sound vocational training is for the Austrian economy. It is essential that we continually improve teaching as a model and adapt it to the latest developments. For example, the modular apprenticeship in electrical engineering was redesigned, the apprenticeships in cosmetics and foot care were upgraded to meet the requirements of the industry, the apprenticeship in meat processing was revised and numerous future-oriented training opportunities became even more diverse. With the modernized apprenticeships from January 1, 2024, our local companies can now offer young people in our country modern and practice-oriented training that creates long-term added value for the economy,” says WB General Secretary Abg.z.No. Kurt Egger is pleased.
