Come-back : Ecomondo returns from November 7 to 10, 2023 in Rimini with a rich and diverse program. This year, the organizers are betting on ecological transition and are preparing several axes related to this theme.

The Italian Exhibition Group’s international fair dedicated to industrial technologies and services for the circular economy, “Ecomondo”, is back in force. The 26th edition of this show will take place from November 7 to 10 at the Rimini Exhibition Center in Italy under the theme “The Ecosystem of the Ecological Transition (the ecosystem of the ecological transition)”.

Valorization of waste into resources, regeneration of soils and agro-forestry and food ecosystems, energy obtained by biomass, use of waste as secondary raw materials, integrated water cycle, preservation of the environment, protection of the seas… So many themes that will be addressed during this Fair. According to the organisers, this edition is the first in which Ecomondo will occupy the entire Rimini Exhibition Centre. The themes of this fair will include “Waste as Resource”, “Sites & SoilRestoration” (Sites and soil rehabilitation), “Circular & Regenerative Bio-economy” (Circular and regenerative bio-economy), “Bio-Energy & Agroecology” (Bio-energy and agro-ecology), “Water Cycle & Blue Economy” (Water cycle and blue economy), and “Environmental Monitoring & Control” (Monitoring environment).

Visitors will find the entire water resources sector there, from capture to restitution and reuse, with particular attention paid to digital transformation. According to the organizers, Ecomondo will provide exhibition space for three industrial sectors that the Italian Ministry of Environment and Energy Security supports. The visitor will also discover the RAEE District which will focus specifically on technologies for repowering and new facilities for the recycling of waste electrical and electronic appliances.

Textile also has its place without this event. It has been identified as a fundamental value chain, for which the European Union has planned actions to promote sustainability, circularity, traceability and transparency. In this regard, the organizers explain that the entire sector concerned, from production to post-consumer, will be highlighted in Rimini. During this event, smart cities will also be discussed with the themes of “sustainability” and “healthiness” and through the “Circular and HealthyCities” project. The Start-Up and Scale-Up zone makes it possible to highlight start-ups and innovative projects.

For the 2023 edition, more than 50 start-ups are expected in Rimini. And that’s not all. This meeting of the ecological transition integrates the blue economy. The blue economy will include all economic sectors, traditional and emerging, linked to the enhancement of Italian and Mediterranean marine resources. For the 2023 edition, Ecomondo is also exploring themes related to Millennials and Generation Z and is addressing new generations so that they can participate in the ecological transition.
