As part of the ADAPT program, a first series of four podcast videos on the theme of ecological transition in the agricultural sector was to be launched the day before yesterday through social networks. The podcast, produced by the startup Wise, invites the public of consumers and producers to reflect more broadly on themes linked to environmental protection.
ADAPT is launching a first targeted series on the future of agri-food in Tunisia, with the participation of experts, researchers, activists and professionals from the sector who investigate and discuss the causes, effects and possible solutions to improve the country’s food security.
Why a podcast? To trigger a reflection in particular on the transition towards innovative and environmentally friendly production systems, to raise awareness of the urgency of securing production, particularly cereals, in the country and to begin a broader discussion on the impact of more responsible consumption. The format allows for both radio and video broadcasting and promotes growing follow-up among different segments of the population in Tunisia, especially on social networks, which are increasingly a platform for discussion.
From the history of agricultural policies in Tunisia to the challenges of access to financing for the agricultural sector, from the exploration of the potential of the organic sector to possible solutions to food security: this is a course designed to solicit the public (decision-makers, consumers, producers, etc.) to ask questions regarding a fairer and more environmentally friendly future, which guarantees the availability, access, use and stability of food and natural resources.
