Ebba Busch attends the Olympic opening in Paris

On Friday, Ebba Busch, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Energy and Industry, travels to Paris to represent the Swedish government at the opening of the Olympics. On Saturday morning, the Prime Minister will attend the opening competitions in equestrian sports in which Sweden participates, which will be held at the castle at Versailles.

Sport is a unifying force and it is more important than ever that we meet across national borders. We wish all Swedish participants the best of luck and thank you for the pride and ambassadorship for Sweden that you contribute, says Ebba Busch.

The visit begins with a reception at the French Minister of Sports Amélie Oudéa-Castéras for further travel to the Trocadero site in central Paris where the just over three-hour long inauguration ceremony will be held on Friday evening.

On Saturday morning, the first Olympic competitions in equestrian sports will begin at the Palace of Versailles. Sweden’s Federation captain for field competition, Fredrik Bergendorff, has selected three team riders and a reserve for the start on Saturday morning.
