Intelligent energy management company Eaton announced today that its Power Connections division now offers stamped battery terminals for passenger electric and internal combustion vehicles and on-highway and off-highway commercial vehicles. Eaton’s stamped battery terminals provide a number of benefits, including increased power cycle performance compared to cast or forged terminals and weight savings that vary depending on the application.

“Each of our battery terminals exceeds industry standards and can be uniquely customized to customer specifications,” said John Romain, Director of Product Management Power Connections in Eaton’s Mobility Group. “Our Power Connections technologies leverage decades of experience in designing innovative electrical components for the mobility industry.”
Stamped battery terminals are customizable and compatible with SAE, DIN, IEC and JIS battery terminal configurations. In addition, Eaton tools have the flexibility to adapt to changing customer routing needs.
“We also employ finite element analysis, which predicts real-world physical behavior by testing models of cams, to ensure our products meet the quality standards our customers expect,” said Romain. “Our stamped battery terminals are also ideal for commercial vehicle applications that use large gauge cables, as more force is required to disengage the terminal from its pole than traditional die-cast or forged terminals.”

Eaton created its Power Connections division following the 2022 acquisition of Royal Power Solutions, a world leader in the development and production of high-precision signal and power distribution critical components.
