Stuffed cookie recipe
It’s very likely that your fond childhood memory involves devouring a package of stuffed cookies while watching a movie on TV.
I’m sure that when you see the photo that illustrates this recipe you automatically imagine the flavor this cookie can have.
But it’s important to know that: the homemade version is much tastier! That’s because we’re going to use simple ingredients that will result in a cookie that tastes like real food!
How to prepare other cookie flavors
In the version I’ll teach you next, we added chocolate sprinkles to not only give the dough extra flavor, but also make the texture and look more fun.
But the truth is that this cookie can be prepared in different versions, such as:
- How regarding adding a colorful touch? To do this, use sprinkles with different colors or even just one color;
- Additionally, you can use food coloring to color your dough. But it’s important to look for a good option;
- And, without a doubt, you can add 2 tablespoons of chocolate powder to the dough for a chocolate version.
Just as you can vary the flavor, you can also cut it into other shapes, as well as choose other fillings.
Tips for filling your cookie
The idea here was to create a flavor similar to industrialized biscuits. In fact, not only taste, but also appearance. Therefore, we chose to fill it with a version of chocolate ganache with a very firm touch of hazelnut.
But, if you prefer a creamier filling, I have a great idea for you: how regarding making a brigadeiro, whatever flavor you prefer, shape it into balls and add it as a filling to your cookie, kneading lightly to distribute it well? I’m sure it will be delicious.
Make the perfect cookie
Making this cookie is really easy! But some tips can make the process even simpler:
- I prefer to use cold butter. This is because, generally, the biscuit is much crispier following baking. However, you will need to knead more to unify the dough;
- If you are going to add chocolate powder, I recommend adding a little more butter. This is because chocolate tends to dry out the dough a little. Another 20g will be enough;
- If it’s a very hot day, leave your dough in the fridge for a few minutes before cutting;
- Anyone who loves making cookies will love having a culinary baking mat. With it, in addition to not needing to grease, the heat is also better distributed. However, if you don’t have this accessory, I recommend greasing your pan with butter and using an option with lower sides;
- The right point to know if your cookie is ready is when the bottom is a lighter golden color, in addition, it is essential that you wait for it to cool completely.

Ingredients
Cookie dough
- 1 ovo;
- 1/2 cup of powdered milk;
- 170g butter;
- 1 cup of sugar;
- 2 cups of wheat flour (approximately);
- 1/2 cup chocolate sprinkles – optional.
Filling
- 270g semi-sweet chocolate;
- 1/2 cup of cream;
- 2 tablespoons of hazelnut cream.
Instructions
- Start by making your filling. To do this, melt your chocolate and then mix the cream and hazelnut cream. Let it cool completely, until it becomes firmer. If the weather is hot, leave it in the fridge for a few minutes;
- So, start by making the dough by mixing the egg, butter, sugar, sprinkles and powdered milk. Then, add the wheat flour until the dough is smooth, uniform and doesn’t stick to your hands;
- Then, roll out your dough on a floured surface and cut into the shape and thickness you want;
- Distribute in the pan where you will bake, leaving space between the biscuits and place in the preheated oven at 180º for 20 to 25 minutes, or until they are lightly golden on the edges and underneath;
- Let your dough cool well. To fill, make small balls with your ganache, if necessary flatten with the help of a spoon and then combine with the other cookie.
Notes
- I generally use salted butter because it helps build the flavor of sweet preparations, however, if the butter you consume is very salty, consider using an unsalted version.
