MTV website special:

Throughout history, Eastern Christians have suffered from persecution and displacement, but a large number of them refused to give up their land and decided to stay. Attempts at forced displacement continue in several countries, and what is happening in the occupied Palestinian territories is the most prominent evidence of this, as it is witnessing successive waves of immigration from members of the Christian community, in a crisis that has dangerous social and demographic repercussions.

Christians constitute the majority of Palestinian immigrants, which is causing a rapid demographic transformation, according to the latest statistics issued by the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics. Several factors play a role in this context, most notably social and economic factors, in addition to the restrictions imposed on them and on other Palestinians by the Israeli occupation. .

The Christians of Palestine, and Jerusalem in particular, express their anger and concern over the Israeli aggression on Gaza. They also express their dissatisfaction with the increase in racially motivated attacks, verbal attacks, and physical harm carried out by extremist Jewish settlers once morest priests and nuns in the West Bank, in addition to an attempt to change the demographic composition in Jerusalem. All of these reasons are enough to displace a people who only want to live in dignity, without persecution and abuse.

Recently, the Christians of Jerusalem and Bethlehem fear that they will be forced to emigrate like tens of thousands of those who came before them, especially since the annual rate of immigration during the past 10 years was estimated at more than 10 thousand, so that the number of Christians in the occupied Palestinian territories today has reached regarding 46 thousand people. (That is, a percentage not exceeding 1 percent).

So, in Gaza, an entire people is subjected to genocide, while the residents of Jerusalem and the West Bank, from various sects, suffer from persecution, ill-treatment, and harassment, which prompts them to emigrate, if they are able to do so. How long will the international community continue to stand by and watch Israeli crimes?
