Easter: Is it an inalienable holiday? Will shops be open?

According to the law, our country has 5 days corresponding to inalienable holidays, that is to say, days in which the trade worker cannot carry out his work, with some exceptions, such as gas stations and pharmacies on duty.

None of these dates, however, correspond to any of the days of Holy Week.

Thus, although tomorrow Friday the 15th and Saturday the 16th are religious holidaysso much Commerce and places of attention to the public will function normally, as well as restaurants, supermarkets and cinemas.

  • Saturday January 1, New Year.
  • Sunday May 1, National Labor Day.
  • Sunday 18 and Monday 19 September, National Holidays.
  • Sunday, December 25, Christmas.
