A recorded earthquake of preliminary magnitude 5.2 62 kilometers south of Tecomán, in the state of Colima, reported the National Seismological Service (SSN) through social networks.
The movement was recorded at 1:25 p.m. and had a depth of 10 kilometers, authorities detailed. Initially, the magnitude of the telluric movement had been established in 5.6but the data was updated minutes later.
Tremor did not warrant seismic alert
The force of the earthquake of September 23 did not warrant the activation of the seismic alert, because the energy estimate in the first seconds did not exceed the pre-established levels, reported the Mexican Seismic Alert System.
The governor of Colima, Indira Vizcaíno Silva, indicated that protocols activated Civil Protection after the report of the tremor, which was noticeable throughout the entity.

Michoacán government maintains surveillance after earthquake
The government of Michoacán reported that it maintains attention throughout the state territory after the earthquake in Tecomán, since it was perceptible in Michoacán territory.

The agency indicated that it is expected to rule out further damage from the last tremor. So far, no fatalities or injuries have been reported.
It is worth mentioning that, derived from the strong earthquake on Monday in Michoacán, the State Civil Protection Committee submitted the request for an emergency declaration for Chinicuila, Coahuayana, Aquila and Coalcomán.
