A 7.8-magnitude earthquake hit Turkey and Syria on February 6, killing more than 23,000 people. The Turkish Consulate in Hong Kong is currently collecting donations of relief supplies and warm clothes. Hong Kong citizens who wish to donate to the local disaster victims can send the supplies to the following collection points.
Donation Notice
The Turkish Consulate in Hong Kong only accepts new items and does not accept used items. Donors can put the materials into boxes and mark the type (garments/shoes/shelter equipment) in English, and the materials will be delivered before the designated time at each collection point.

2. Miaofang collects disaster relief clothes
Miaofang collects brand-new winter clothes donated by citizens and sends them to the disaster area on behalf of them. The recommended quantity is less than 5 pieces per person. Organizations and organizations can directly contact the Turkish embassy for large donations.

3. “Green in the District” collection point
Green in Sha Tin, Green in Kwun Tong, and Green in Sai Kung will assist in the collection of warm clothes and deliver them directly to the logistics warehouse of the Consulate General. The “Green in the District” collection points welcome citizens to donate new or unused winter clothes, coats, sweaters and cold sweaters.

4. Tour of Japan
EGL Tours opened 3 branches as material collection stations, and the collected materials were transferred to the designated Kwai Chung logistics warehouse. Dongying You appeals to the donors to pack the materials in boxes and write the donated materials in English on the material boxes to facilitate the identification of the frontline staff.

5. Hung Fook Tong

Youhe sells two designated heaters and thermos cups at a price similar to the cost price. The Turkish Consulate in Hong Kong appeals to citizens or organizations who are interested in donating to donate through the websites of the Turkish Disaster and Response Management Agency (AFAD), the Turkish Red Crescent Society and the Turkish Religious Affairs Bureau.
1. Turkish Agency for Disaster and Emergency Management (AFAD)

The Turkish Disaster and Response Management Agency (AFAD) provides a bank account for receiving humanitarian donations for the earthquake. Donors can transfer Turkish Lira, US dollars, and Euros to the designated bank account by themselves.

The Turkish Red Crescent Society accepts donations in Turkish Lira, US dollars, and Euros. Donors can donate directly on the website by credit card, or by bank wire transfer.
