Earthquake in arbitration: Castrilli dismisses Julio Bascuñán and 10 more referees

Javier Castrilli, the head of the referees, generates a new earthquake among the judges. Today, first thing in the morning, the Argentine reported the dismissal of eleven refereeamong which Julio Bascuñán stands out.

The list, which he was able to access Sportingmake it up Julio Bascuñán, Piero Maza, Nicolás Gamboa, Cristian Garay, Alejandro Molina, Claudio Urrutia, Felipe Jara, Héctor Jona, Franco Arrué, Felipe Jerez and Constanza Salinas.

It is that in the arbitration commission they continue with the intention of giving more space to young people. This is what Castrilli himself said a few weeks ago, in conversation with Sporting.

“I warned of the need to generate a generational change in Chilean arbitration. Give young blood the chance to project itself. In the same way, we have to think of a Chilean arbitration with a stature of competition at the same level that they are directing. One thinks of referees aged 30 or 32 who reach higher levels of international football. We have to lower the average age”said the trans-Andean.

In relation to the conflicts that this decision might bring, in the ANFP they are totally square with the decisions of the head of the arbitration commission. They assume that from the union they are pressing to manage Castrilli’s departure, even with strike threats. In case this happens, from Quilín they warn that they will look for foreign judges to carry out the date.

Today, during the morning, the union issued a harsh warning in which they reinforced their exit with respect to the urgent departure of the three members of the Arbitration Commission Mr. Javier Castrilli, Mr. Osvaldo Talamilla and Mr. Braulio Arenas is not negotiable” and that the negotiation period remains in force until before the meeting scheduled for Tuesday, April 5 at 8:30 p.m.

“The other administrative charges can be evaluated so as not to affect the operation and logistics of the arbitration department for the next championship date.”, they continue.

In addition, they will state thatin case of not reaching an agreement, the assembly will democratically decide the total stoppage of activities to start from Wednesday, April 6”.
