Earthquake disaster: FACC employees donate for earthquake victims

Immediately following the first reports regarding the earthquake disaster in Turkey and Syria, employees of FACC AG started a collection campaign and sent relief supplies to the affected regions.

REED. In response to the earthquake disaster in Turkey, employees of FACC AG organized an aid delivery to Turkey and Syria, the company reports. Within a few days, around 3,000 FACC employees donated relief supplies, which were loaded into a 40-ton truck and taken to a distribution center in Turkey. Warm clothing, woolen blankets and shoes were collected as immediate aid on site.

Blankets instead of high-tech parts

The relief effort by the FACC crew was supported above all by the logistics experts at FACC. The relief supplies were sorted and stowed away in boxes that normally transport high-tech parts for aviation, and the transport to the crisis region started.

“The catastrophic situation and the human suffering in the earthquake areas of Turkey and Syria are affecting. We want to make a contribution to quickly providing help to people in need in this difficult situation,” says FACC COO Andreas Ockel.
