The entire Juventus board of directors, headed by President Andrea Agnelli, has resigned as a body. This was announced by the Italian record champions on Monday evening.
In addition to Agnelli, his deputy, ex-midfield star Pavel Nedved, managing director Maurizio Arrivabene, and the other board members Laurence Debroux, Massimo Della Ragione, Katryn Fink, Daniela Marilungo, Francesco Roncaglio, Giorgio Tacchia and Suzanne Keywood have also resigned. For the time being, Maurizio Scanavino is to lead the fortunes as general director.
The panel drew the consequences because the public prosecutor’s office was investigating accounting fraud. In terms of sport, things have not been going according to plan for the third-placed player in Serie A for some time now.
2 decades of success
Andrea Agnelli has been in charge of the record champions since 2010 and is the youngest of the dynasty of the Agnelli industrial family, which has made Turin one of the most important football clubs in the world. Under the leadership of Andrea Agnelli, Juve won a whopping 18 trophies: 9 Scudetti in a row (record!), 4 Italian Cups and 5 Supercups. In 2015 and 2017, the old lady was also in the Champions League final.
