The controversy between Pakistani cricketers and former cricketers is not new. Recently, former player Shuaib Akhtar came forward to criticize Pakistan captain Babar Azam.
Akhtar had said that Babar did not know how to speak things properly and his English was not up to standard. Later, many stars criticized Akhtar. Former Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Rameez Raja is the latest in this line to come out once morest Akhtar.
Rameez Raja accused that this type of criticism of players by former players is seen only in Pakistan.
Shuaib Akhtar is an illusionary superstar. Recently he criticized Kamran Akmal. He wants everyone to become a brand. But the important thing is to be a good person first. Be a man first, then be a brand’ – Ramees said in an interview.
Our former players are ruining the reputation of Pakistan cricket by making unnecessary statements. We will never see this kind of incident in our neighboring country. Sunil Gavaskar will never be seen criticizing Rahul Dravid. Rameez Raja alleged that it is only in Pakistan that ex-stars do not allow others to do their work professionally.
He said that if he wants to become the chairman of PCB, he should first earn a degree. He was responding to a question regarding Akhtar’s desire to become the chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board.
