Due to the holidays, most pensioners will receive payments for January ahead of schedule – in December. The Social Fund reported this at its official website.
“The pre-New Year payment will affect everyone who receives a pension through credit organizations during the holidays. Post offices will deliver payments to pensioners as usual in January,” the statement said.
Early pensions for January will be transferred to bank cards of pensioners on December 28 and 29. Early payments will be received by those whose pension is usually due from the first to the eighth.

Early payment affects all existing types of pensions:
- insurance and social
- accumulative,
- old age pensions,
- on disability.
“If other Social Fund payments come along with the pension, they will also be transferred to the account ahead of schedule. All funds will come automatically, pensioners do not need to go anywhere,” the Social Fund adds.
At the same time, pensioners to whom payments are delivered by Russian Post will receive funds for the first month of next year on their usual dates. Postmen will begin delivering pensions to your home from January 3, and from this day it will also be possible to receive a pension at the post office cash desk. Delivery of pensions via mail will last until January 25.
“Starting from January 9, the first working day of the new year, delivery of pensions through banks will resume according to the standard schedule,” notes the Social Fund.
