The Social Insurance and Pensions Law promulgated by Law No. 148 of 2019 specified the conditions for benefiting from the “additional pension” system and unemployment insurance compensation, and the text of the Social Insurance Law, provided that the insured whose wage exceeds the maximum insurance subscription wage may request an additional pension from The Authority, in return for the subscription for the part in excess of the maximum insurance subscription wage, provided that it does not exceed 100% of the maximum subscription wage.
According to the law, a personal account is created in the Social Insurance Fund in return for obtaining an additional pension for the insured, and the executive regulations of this law determine the complementary insurance system, the percentage of contributions that the insured is committed to, and the conditions and rules for benefiting from this article.
The additional pension is due in the event that the insured is entitled to a pension in accordance with the provisions of this law, and the additional pension is calculated by dividing the aforementioned personal account balance by the life installment, and this pension is added to the accrued pension in accordance with the provisions of this law, and this pension is included in the calculation of the annual pension increase.
Whereas, Article 87 specified the conditions for entitlement to unemployment compensation, and stipulated that for the entitlement to unemployment compensation the following is required, that the insured has not resigned from service, and in that case, cases of discontinuance from work are considered, and that the service of the insured has not ended as a result of a final ruling in A felony or misdemeanor affecting honor, trust, or public morals, or impersonating a false person, or submitting false certificates or papers, and that the insured has subscribed to this insurance for a period of at least one year, including the six months preceding each consecutive unemployment, that the insured has registered his name In the unemployed register at the competent manpower office, and to visit the manpower office in which his name is registered on the dates determined by a decision of the Minister of Manpower.
