(Comprehensive News) American rock band Eagles (Eagle Choir) guitarist Glenn Frey died in 2016, which broke the hearts of many music fans. Unexpectedly, following seven years, another Eagles founding member passed away. Bassist Randy Meisner died of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), died Wednesday (July 26) at the age of 77.
Randy Meisner formed the Eagles with Glenn Frey, Don Henley and Bernie Leadon in 1971 and released several albums. The classic songs include “Desperado”, “One of These Nights” and “Hotel California”. Randy announced his withdrawal from the group at the peak of the Eagles in 1977, but when the Eagles entered the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1998, they still included Randy in the list.
Randy later told the American magazine “Rolling Stone” (Rolling Stone) that the status of teammates was unequal, “Everything started when we started to ride in different limousines.” When he sang “Take It to the Limit” center stage at a concert, he refused.
He was quoted as saying: “I wanted to get out of the spotlight. One night I stayed up late in Knoxville and I had the flu and we sang two or three encores and Glenn Frey wanted to do another one and I told them I We mightn’t do it, we got into an argument, and that was it.” Randy says years later, he asked to sit with the band members at a show in Los Angeles, but was turned down.
