He explained that, as in other elections in the country, they leave the hours in which they will work during those dates at the disposal of the shopping centers.

“Our recommendation is that if you are going to go to the shopping centers, check the schedule on their social networks beforehand to also know if they will be open,” he mentioned in an interview for Union Radio on July 22nd.

Restrictions before and during the presidential elections

On July 21, Vladimir Padrino López, Minister of Defense, and Remigio Ceballos, Minister of Interior and Justice, issued a joint resolution in which they revealed the restrictions for the presidential elections on July 28.

Article 3 of the Joint Resolution indicates that the dry law will begin to apply from 12:01 a.m. on Friday, July 26 until Monday, July 29 at 11:59 p.m. This measure is supported by Article 130 of the Organic Law of Electoral Processes.

Shopping centre growth in the second quarter of 2024

The director of Cavececo reported that during the second quarter of 2024 there was growth in shopping centers due to the creation of “new concepts” both regional and international.

“This has brought more visitors. In addition to film premieres, cinemas remain an anchor for venues,” he explained.

He commented that during the second quarter a different dynamic was perceived compared to the first, which he considered “quite slow.”

He mentioned that during Children’s Day, Sunday, July 21, there was a lot of people in the shopping centers, as well as on Father’s Day dates.
